Society Suckers

Dan dropped off a little package for me at the shop. Once in a while, he releases a photo zine called Society Suckers, a raw expose of the hardcore scene he is so deeply rooted to. Only pictures. No text. They are numbered and limited to 100 copies of each issue. It’s currently unavailable to most normal humans…but he promised that we would soon be seeing it pop here and there. In fact, we are in the talks for a little “project partnership”? (i hate calling shit collaborations…that word is fucking gay). Wait for more, and here is a little preview of what to expect

Found some old pictures from this summer on my card. This is homie Matt’s bike. It’s gotta be one of the sickest bikes I’ve ever seen…Foundry frame, vintage campy hubs,  clips, post, etc.

Ryan Mcginley

I’m working on a project involving nude photography right now, so I googled up some stuff to get a little inspiration, I’m still trying to find that fine line between pornography and tasteful nudity. It’s not that easy of a task, but I stumbled on an photographer who seems to have found a comfort within those criteria. His name is Ryan McGinley, a New York based artist, he’s graced the walls of many galleries. His ascension as a young photographer hasn’t gone unnoticed; in fact, in 2003 he was named Photographer of the year by American Photo Magazine. He has even shot many celebrities like Seth Rogan, Michael Cera, James McAvoy, James Sturgess, and many others….more info on my own project coming sooooon.
